It started in New Zealand where the idea of software to unlock a competitive edge for Trade Revenue Management was born. Our early goal was to be recognised as being the best at what we did on the global stage. New Zealanders are known for their ability to think outside the box, making the impossible possible. And with enough hard work, determination and single minded focus, we were determined to succeed.
We had no precrafted product and no legacy that would hold us back. We knew that if we were going to do this, we needed to think big, think creatively and above all else, find a way to combine the dream with the most advanced technology out there. And that’s exactly what we did. With the best of everything we could get our hands on, we went to work. We knew we were in it for the long haul, and our software needed to amaze and delight our clients.
We saw extraordinary growth in very little time, then before we knew it, the dream came true. We captivated and astounded the biggest technology providers in the world with our software developments around functionality and speed. Independently tested and verified, we’ve become the best at what we do.
And it’s what this technology can do for others that really makes our hearts beat. Seeing businesses across the supply chain come out of a hole to flourish and prosper, helping them achieve amazing heights and going from strength to strength is deeply satisfying. But it doesn’t stop now. We’ve learnt with the speed of change that being the best or the fastest isn’t actually good enough! We have to build on our success and double down on our commitment to innovate, be even faster, and even better.
For us it’s about being at the forefront of technological advances in the management of revenue across the supply chain. We’re making a difference on a global scale, and we’re proud of it, but there is plenty left to do.

BOOM! The idea was born to use software to enable Trade Promotion execution, known back then as Quality Systems Ltd, with Paul Coote leading the charge!
We jump on Windows and launch ‘Promotions Manager’, our first promotions management software.
This is a big development for us - Advanced Pricing Manager (APM for QAD Inc. ERP).
Our eyes meet and we become a Microsoft Partner.
Our first international client: Moody Dunbar from the USA.
Thanks to our blossoming relationship with Microsoft we are awarded Gold Partner status.
Mike Ridgway arrives! He gets handed the baton and turns us toward a different direction.
We get ourselves a fancy new name, officially rebranded to Flintfox.
Mike takes the helm and becomes our CEO. Spies a gap in the bigger market, decides to take the plunge and move a small New Zealand company into the big pool.
Our international family starts to grow more quickly: Australia decides to get in on the action by becoming a client - say hello to ‘Snack Brands’.
January: Flintfox hits its first housing growth spurt: We get to move to a bigger building!
We get another big little brother: USA’s Breakthru Beverages (Wirtz Beverages).
We truly become an international family by welcoming our first European customer, Otra!
July: Flintfox is outgrowing buildings like teenagers outgrowing clothes. Relocate to bigger temporary offices.
We become a favoured child with a third Microsoft milestone: Microsoft Global ISV (one of only 10 globally)
December: As an early Christmas gift, Flintfox moves into what is currently the sleek Flintfox offices.
We get our first client from the land of maple syrup, Wakefield Canada Inc.
Our first Asia client! Flintfox celebrates with dumplings as Munchy's in Malaysia signs up.
Staff count officially crosses boundary into triple digits as we hit a 100+ staff. We won the NZ American Chamber of Commerce Exporter of the Year award.
We celebrate like it's a carnival as our LATAM offices open. We regionalised the Flintfox company structure so we can continue to grow even bigger!
We sign up our biggest client to date, W.B. Mason, a huge office supplies company in the USA.
