Snack Brands ready for a Dynamic 2009
Snack Brands Australia are implementing new business systems, with the Trade+ Suite from Flintfox being used to manage all aspects of their extensive Trade Promotions. Scalable Data Systems, who have provided the new Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 ERP solution with additions for process manufacturing, are leading the project and supplying the implementation services.
“Having acquired the snackfoods operations last year we undertook a business process review” says the Snack Brands Australia CIO Paul Knox, adding “being a typical consumer goods company , Trade spend is our biggest expense outside of COGS but also the area where we had the least control as it was managed in a series of excel spreadsheets which was not acceptable.”
Further elaborating Knox said “Flintfox has been able to deliver Snack Brands Australia a state of the art Trade Promotion Management solution that seamlessly integrates with our backend accounting system, providing transparency in all facets of our trade promotion activity.”
Flintfox’s Trade+ Suite caters for the full life-cycle of Trade Promotion Management. In addition to the sales focussed budgeting, account planning and analysis tools, the Trade+ Suite contributes the backend execution of advanced pricing, promotions and rebates so important for the efficiency of manufacturing and distribution companies such as Snack Brands Australia in the highly competitive Consumer Goods arena.
Snack Brands Australia is one of the largest suppliers of snack foods in Australia, with plants in NSW and Victoria. Iconic brands such as Kettle ,CC’s, Cheezels, Thins, Samboy, Tasty Jacks and French Fries returned to Australian ownership with the purchase from Campbells/Arnott’s by the stakeholders of The Real McCoy Snackfood Co and senior management in April 2008.
